Help, My Life is Out of Order!

design your life lifebook Jan 31, 2023

Did you start the year off doing some goal setting + planning? Did you follow through on this goal setting process or did "life happen" and your plan to plan just, well...who knows what happened, right?

And even if you were able to follow through, make your plan and break it down into manageable action steps, are you still feeling like your life is out of order? Like you're not sure if you're headed in the right direction?

You're not quite sure what's missing, but the beginning of a new year definitely did not bring more ease or clarity into your life.

If this is you, read on!

First, remember this

The beginning of January is not the only time to plan for the year ahead. In fact, when it comes to planning, working in 12-week time blocks is much more effective then planning for a full year.

Don't get me wrong. I actually do have a yearly plan. But it's more of an overview of what I'd like to accomplish over those 12 months. My specific action plan is done by the quarter, or 12-weeks.

I do this because knowing myself, I'd be tackling my yearly goals at the end of the year anyway. Having shorter time frames gives me a sense of urgency and allows me to accomplish more over those 12 weeks, and ultimately, over the year.

Don't have a plan? Yearly or quarterly?

No worries! Because the best place to start is right here, right now. It's the best place to start deciding on what you want and designing a plan to get there.

But how do you do this? It's simple really. By knowing what you want in each area of your life and putting these all together, you'll be creating for yourself a clear path to your ideal life.

This is where your Lifebook comes in

Your Lifebook is the most important and valuable book you will ever own. This book, authored by you, will set a path for you to follow in order to get to your ideal life.

The process of writing this book involves doing a deep dive into 12 life categories than bringing those together to define your ideal life vision.

Once your Lifebook is written, your goal planning process will be much cleaer as you'll have an ultimate goal to aspire to - your life vision.

A work in progress

Your Lifebook is a living document, which means that it is not a "write it and forget it" kind of book. You'll be tweaking and updating it over time, as things change, and as you reach goals and set new ones.

And writing your Lifebook does not have to be a journey you take on your own. Having the proper support and guidance in this process will ensure your success, not only in writing your Lifebook, but also in living it.
