From Big Dreams to Daily Habits

Do you have big dreams? Are you clear on those dreams? Do you know what steps you need to take each day to get there?

I know you're busy and it feels like life just keeps happening to you, right? Your daily "musts" pull you in a dozen different directions and by the end of the day, you are wore out and done...

But what if you were clear on what you really want? What if you had a well laid out plan and you knew each day what you needed to do to get a little bit closer to where you want to be?

 

Finding clarity

The first step to getting closer to your goals is to actually figure out what those goals are! Seems obvious, right? But as busy women, how many of us have taken the time to really define our goals and design our ideal life?

Finding clarity begins with knowing what you want in each of the 12 life categories. In the Lifebook methodology, we learn how to get crystal clear about our Premise (what you believe), Vision (what you want), Purpose (why you want it), and Strategy (how you're going to get there).

When you define those things in your life, you'll be better able to break things down into goals and daily habits you need to have to get to where you want to be.

 

The 12 life categories

I've touched on these before in other posts, but let me recap what the 12 life categories are in case you're not familiar with them.

  4. Character
  5. Spiritual Life
  6. Love Relationship
  7. Parenting
  8. Social Life
  9. Financial Life
  10. Career
  11. Quality of Life
  12. Life Vision

No one category stands alone. They all impact each other in some way. For instance, being more fit can improve your love relationship; being successful financially (however you define this) can mean a better quality of life for yourself; and having a great emotional life can mean being a better parent.

 

Defining your goals
