4 Powerful Ways Lifebook Can Change Your Life

design your life lifebook Feb 22, 2022

Like many people, I write down my goals and work hard to reach them. Most times it feels great to reach those goals, then other times, it doesn't feel fulfilling at all. And then there are times when the goals just die off and are forgotten about all together.

You've heard that writing down your goals is an important step in achieving them. But even as I did this, I felt as if something was missing.

Then I discovered Lifebook and everything changed for me. Lifebook for me was the missing piece of the puzzle.

Today I want to share with you 4 powerful ways that Lifebook made a difference in my life and how it can do the same for you.

1) Get clear on your ideal life

The concept of having a unique book, written by me, about my own life was exciting! I mean, why not?

Creating your Lifebook not only helps you get clear on what you want your ideal life to look like. It also helps you define the kind of person you want to become on this journey.

But what does getting clear mean for you and your ideal life?

Through a very unique + powerful process, you define the premise, vision, purpose and strategy for each of 12 life categories.

Through a very unique + powerful process, you define the premise, vision, purpose and strategy for each of 12 life categories.

The 12 life categories include:

  • Health + fitness
  • Intellectual life
  • Emotional life
  • Your character
  • Spiritual life
  • Love relationship
  • Parenting
  • Social life
  • Your career
  • Financial life
  • Quality of life, and
  • Life vision.

Getting clear on each of these categories and then bringing them together into one ideal life vision is one of the most powerful things you can ever do for yourself and your life.

2) Discover your North star

Once you've taken a deep dive into each of the life categories, you'll have defined a clear vision of what you want your life to be like. We call this your Life Vision, or your North Star.

Your North Star is the beacon in the distance that guides you in all your life's choices.

For me, finally being clear on what my North Star is has allowed me to set crystal clear goals + compelling daily actions. Knowing what I am ultimately striving for on a daily basis makes my life feel more purposeful.

3) Set meaningful goals

Having goals is great, but they must been meaningful to you, otherwise you won't be driven to work towards their achievement.

But once you've defined your life vision and you know what you want to achieve in each of your 12 life categories, you'll be better able to set goals that have purpose and meaning.

You'll be much clearer on your goals and will be able to identify and move away from goals that were never truly your own. You know the goals I'm talking about - the ones defined by others - the goals your parents or society told you that you should strive for.

Lifebook helps you break that pattern. It allows you to get back in the drivers seat of your own life. It's about taking charge of YOUR life and working towards the goals that will get you to your ideal life vision.

4) Create excitement

When you know with precise detail what you want in life and have a path to get there, you'll be excited about your life. You'll want to get up each morning and work towards the goals that will help you live the life you've always wanted but felt was out of reach.

Is it easy? Not always.

Will there be bad days? Of course, but you'll more easily recover from those and get back to what's important.

Is it worth it? Without a doubt!

Being excited about your life is an amazing feeling and I want that for you! Not having a "North Star" or meaningful goals doesn't mean you're living an unhappy life. But it might mean that if you dig deep enough, you'll find that there is unfulfilled potential in you. Dreams you've buried not because they weren't worthy, but because life just happened and dreams were forgotten or simply took a backseat.

Your journey to living your best life begins with writing your Lifebook. For me, it was the one missing piece of the puzzle. Having my Lifebook has made clear the areas of my life that I wasn't even truly aware of, that I hadn't even considered to be an integral part of my life.

Many of us tend to focus on areas like health + fitness and finances. But digging deep into our intellectual or emotional parts of our lives is not something we might have thought about before.

Looking at these areas adds clarity to the direction we want to go and the ideal life we want to live.
